What are they?
The Friends of Baroque Music in Yorkshire are prepared to make up to four awards each year to assist young people who have an interest in performing Baroque music.
Each award is for a sum up to £250. The applicants should be 30 or under and will be students or young musicians performing or studying in Yorkshire.
How to apply ?
Complete the application form (link below) giving details of the work to be funded, the costs involved ( e.g. contribution to tuition fees, instrument hire, funds for a performance project) and what you hope to achieve.
Submit your application.
How we make our decision
Our grants sub-committee will consider your application and report to the full FBMY committee. Their decision is final. We will not be able to make a further award to a successful applicant the following year. Our grant year commences 1st December.
And afterwards?
Successful candidates will be invited to report back to FBMY on their progress
FBMY may make occasional larger grants at the discretion of the Grants Committee. There is no fixed timetable for applications, and awards are dependent on funds available. Any application should be made at least four months before the proposed project date.
There is no formal application form; applications should be made in a written request, providing your contact details, your registered charity number if relevant, an outline of your project, the budget, other funding to which you may have access and timescales for completion of your project.
